Joseph B. Silberman, DMD, MAGD
Dr. Silberman is committed to staying up-to-date on the latest advances in dental treatments and techniques through ongoing continuing education. In addition to completing the curriculum offered by the world-renowned Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, he has completed courses in periodontics (gums), orthodontics (braces), occlusion (bites), endodontics (root canals), dental sleep medicine (apnea), implants, and cosmetic dentistry.
In July of 2022, he was awarded a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry which is a credential reserved for dentists who have taken 1100 hours of continuing education, 400 of which need to be hands on coursework. Only 2% of US and Canadian dentists have achieved this status. He is very proud to have received this award. Dr. Silberman is on staff at Evanston Hospital where he instructs dental residents on procedures and treatment options so they can be the best dentist they can be.
Dr. Silberman and his wife, Renee, are blessed with 4 sons, 1 Daughter-In-Law (Dr. Adina) and 2 wonderful granddaughters. Their family hobbies include sports, gardening, FaceTiming and babysitting whenever possible!
Dr. Tolga Tozum
Dr. Tozum is a licensed dental specialist in Periodontics, who focuses on advanced gum treatments as well as implant surgeries for more than 20 years. He is a Professor of Periodontics at University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), College of Dentistry and an Academy of Osseointegration (AO) Diplomate in Surgical Dentistry. He serves as the chair of AO Website Education committee and chair of AO Osseointegration Fund Research Grants Committee, where he supports the advanced implant education and research efforts of dental clinicians who are interested in implant dentistry.
He has been serving in the editorial board of 27 internationally recognized 3D-digital dentistry, periodontics and implant related scientific journals, and he has 10 awards/honors for his clinical efforts in dentistry and periodontics. Dr. Tozum organized national and international dental meetings as well as implant dentistry related organizations, he lectured more than 100 times at national/international scientific meetings (US, Europe, Middle East and Asia), and published 155 articles in peer reviewed scientific journals related to implant surgeries, 3D Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) imaging, and advanced periodontics.
Dr. Tozum wrote and translated 14 book chapters about clinical periodontology, bone grafting and dental implant surgeries. He also served as the translation editor of a text book related to full-arch dental implant rehabilitation. He believes that evidence-based applications and communication with the patients are the keys for a successful treatment outcome.
More than 20 years, he incorporates the contemporary advances in periodontics and implant surgeries in the treatment of his patient and providing a wide variety of services including surgical and non-surgical periodontal & peri-implant treatments, esthetic periodontal procedures and implant related surgical rehabilitations, i.e., conventional, and 3D-guided/CBCT/digital applications.
In his free time, Dr. Tozum enjoys long-distance walking, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Shawn Snider
Dr. Shawn Snider brings a unique blend of artistry and precision to dentistry in the Chicago area. Growing up on a small family farm at the Lake of the Ozarks, he developed a deep appreciation for detail and craftsmanship. Prior to his dental career, Dr. Snider spent ten years working as an engineer, honing his analytical and problem-solving skills.
Inspired by a passion for art and drawing, he left engineering to pursue a career in dentistry as a creative outlet. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, graduating summa cum laude. His dedication continued at the UMKC School of Dentistry, where he was elected and served as class president for four years, graduating in 2016.
Dr. Snider’s commitment to patient care is evident both in his chair side manner and comprehensive approach. He continues to advance his skill set through continuing education on services such as endodontics, Invisalign, and dental implants, ensuring he is always up to date. He previously owned and operated a successful dental practice in Kansas City, MO, before relocating to Chicago in 2024.
Outside of the office, Dr. Snider enjoys spending time with friends and family. He maintains an active lifestyle, enjoying time at the lake, playing sports, and camping. He is passionate about helping his patients achieve optimal oral health and the smile they have always desired.
