Joseph B. Silberman, DMD, FAGD

Dr. Joseph B. Silberman, principal of Evanston Dental Associates, was awarded his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Boston University in 1985, graduating with honors. After practicing dentistry on New York’s Upper East Side, Dr. Silberman moved to Illinois to begin a family with his wife Renee. He has been an Evanston dentist since 1992 and was the first General Dentist on the North Shore to incorporate using a microscope while treating his patients.

Dr. Silberman is committed to staying up-to-date on the latest advances in dental treatments and techniques through ongoing continuing education. In addition to completing the curriculum offered by the world-renowned Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, he has completed courses in periodontics (gums), orthodontics (braces), occlusion (bites), endodontics (root canals), dental sleep medicine (apnea), implants, and cosmetic dentistry.

In 2001, he was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, a credential reserved for dentists who have earned extensive continuing education hours and passed an all-day exam. He is now focused on receiving his Mastership award in the Academy of General Dentistry which only 3500 dentists worldwide have received. Dr. Silberman is on staff at Evanston Hospital where he instructs dental residents on procedures and treatment options so they can be the best dentist they can be.

Dr. Silberman and his wife, Renee, are blessed with 4 sons, 1 Daughter-In-Law ( Dr. Adina) and a wonderful granddaughter. Their family hobbies include sports, gardening, and babysitting!

Adina Silberman, MSEd, DMD

We are so happy to welcome Dr. Adina Silberman to our practice! The newest Dr. Silberman brings with her the highest accolades from all those who’ve worked with her.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Adina Silberman moved to New York where she graduated from Yeshiva University with a Bachelor of Arts in biology and a minor in studio art. She wanted to pursue a career that would combine the fields of science and art, and dentistry was the fitting choice. Dr. Silberman moved to Philadelphia, where she attended University of Pennsylvania to complete a dual degree in dentistry and higher education. She graduated with honors in clinical dentistry and community health, and received the E. Howell Smith Award in Prosthetic Dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Silberman was president of the Alpha Omega Beta chapter, acted as an academic representative for her class, and led a project to increase access to care by bringing oral health education into Philadelphia nursing homes.

Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Silberman moved back to NYC to complete a one year general practice residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. During her residency, Dr. Silberman was mentored by highly skilled dentists and specialists, and received her Invisalign certification. Her hospital based residency gave Dr. Silberman the opportunity to provide care to underserved populations with a multidisciplinary team approach. She spent time treating and educating hospital patients, and managed many dental emergencies pre-transplant and provided radiation therapy dental clearances. Throughout her training, Dr. Silberman discovered a keen ability to build relationships, educate and motivate her patients. She likes to spend time getting to know patients and explaining findings and treatment options. Dr. Silberman’s goal with all her patients is to make coming to the dentist comfortable and fun!

Dr. Silberman lives in Chicago with her husband Ricky and is excited about being part of the Evanston Dental Associates team. And yes, she is Dr. Silberman’s daughter in law!  In her spare time Dr. Silberman enjoys hosting friends and family, cooking, baking, and graphic design.

“I am so fortunate to have joined a practice like Evanston Dental Associates. Knowing the kind of dentistry that is done here and the way patients are cared for is an inspiration for me.”

“I believe in “down to earth” periodontal care with a friendly, compassionate touch. I love working with Dr. Joseph Silberman and Dr. Adina Silberman to coordinate care to get the best overall esthetic and healthy result for the patient.

WE LOVE TO SEE OUR PATIENTS SMILE

"The best way to describe Dr. Silberman is to say he’s an artist. The more complicated the problem is, the more of a perfectionist he becomes. I’ll say, ‘It’s fine, it’s fine,’ and he’ll say, ’No, it can be a little better.’"
